We are thrilled to announce a dramatic refresh of Innerviews—the first in many years. The new site was designed and deployed by web guru and singer-songwriter extraordinaire Andy Rinehart. In case you're unfamiliar with his work, check out this interview with him. You can also visit him on the web at andyrinehart.com and color:gray, his web design firm.
Longtime readers will notice the site has been reorganized and simplified. New fonts and colors mean interviews are significantly more readable. There's also a lot more flexibility in layout, which you'll notice particularly with new interviews. In addition, the user interface has been overhauled.
Andy did a phenomenal job on the redesign, and went way beyond the call of duty to make this happen. We wholeheartedly recommend him if you're looking for a spectacularly talented professional to take on a web project.
Anil also wants to thank his wife Grace for her fantastic support and assistance throughout this process.
We hope you enjoy this fifth incarnation of Innerviews since first launching in 1994. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into getting it here. We look forward to any feedback you may have.

Upcoming features by Anil in Bass Player include an epic piece on upright bass virtuoso Marc Johnson who details the making of Eliane Elias' Something For You album. The disc is a tribute to Bill Evans, including newly unearthed material from Johnson's tenure with the famed pianist. It also features Johnson performing on Scott LaFaro's bass. Johnson relays anecdotes about working with the instrument, his time with Evans, and the construction of the new record.
Another upcoming Bass Player feature focuses on electric bass phenomenon Jamaaladeen Tacuma, who talks about his new Flavor of Thelonious Monk Reloaded CD, as well as his new band with Vernon Reid called Free Form Funky Freqs.
Forthcoming Guitar Player features include Nguyên Lê, the French-Vietnamese world fusion guitarist who discusses his recent CD Homescape, a series of duos with trumpeter Paolo Fresu and oud master Dhafer Youssef. He also talks about the elements that make successful world fusion projects work and those that can derail them. Other forthcoming Guitar Player articles include fingerstyle guitar legend Peter Lang, jazz-fusion icon John McLaughlin, and emerging Afro-jazz guitar star Lionel Loueke.
